How to Make a Timeline
This story is for grade 2 students, as part of an anthology of trade book selections. This story was written from scratch to hit certain standards and lesson skills.
This selection needed to hit two goals: to teach kids about how to decipher timelines, and to show an example of kid-made timeline. We did not have the time in the schedule to set up a series of model shots, so I found as many stock photos that used the same model. We then filled gaps with company-owed images, and wrote text to support the images (usually the other way around). I found images of a classroom and blurred it to be used in the background so I can create a photo collage that looks natural (first and third spreads).
