Be a Hero! Work It Out!
This story is for grade 2 student, as part of an anthology of trade books. This story was written from scratch to hit certain standards and lesson skills.
Original concept was to use Marvel Comic-style of art. However, considering the age group, I felt it would give more friendly and relatable touch if we went with Pixar's "The Incredibles" direction. We hired an artist who could render super heroes in digital animation style, with exaggerated shapes and figures. I picked up on this to layout the captions, and created icons for each.
