Short Read
Short Read is a short article that introduces the theme or topic of a unit. While these articles are part of a Reading program, their content often covers cross-curricular topics, such as science or social studies.
Plant Pairs was a tough spread. I had the task of organizing facts and rhymes in a cohesive way that would be an informative and inviting introduction to the unit. Another requirement was to include infographics. Initially, the layout showed three boxes, each containing a fact and a rhyme, but the overall look lacked liveliness. I got inspiration from a stock art that used open circles that symbolized a flower and applied it here.
