Interactive Practice
With COVID-19 forcing more online teaching, this project popped up to offer digital lessons that students can complete independently.
These are samples of pages I designed for primary grade students. These pages use an audio-based content model with a single interaction per page. They intentionally do not require scrolling in order to create an age-appropriate experience.
I was required to use interactions from an established pattern library: flip cards, image gallery, pull-down, and multiple choice. To expedite the production, I picked up the skin from existing science program.
For minimal viable product, we included feedback in written form. In the next iteration, the feedback will only be offered via audio, which would eliminate the overset.
I found a company-owned doodle background pattern and modified it to fit our needs. In addition, I created the icons to offer visual cues and interest for the students.
I produced this prototype and spec document in Sketch. The spec document was exported to Zeplin for release to the engineering team.
